Restoration and Renewal of My Marriage

My husband randy has succumb to adultery and I ask that prayer I sent for his deliverance, and the renewal and restoration of our marriage. All that I have done, prayer, leading, crying and fasting has not helped and the situation seems to have gotten worse. We need your prayer… my husband has turned his back on our marriage and continues the relationship with the other woman while we are still married. Pray that she leaves and never returns to our lives, bless her with a relationship of her own, with someone who is not married and has three children

    Thank you for your faithfulness in the Lord. I pray that you’ll continue turning to Christ for help during these trying times.

    I don’t know your situation… I only know what you have written here. From what I gather, he might not being willing to return because he doesn’t understand what he has lost. Are the two of you still living together? If not, I would suggest leaving him so that he can understand what he has lost.

    If you already have left, don’t give up hope. Continue praying for him. I hope that he’ll come to his senses and realize that going after these pleasures will not bring him the same lasting satisfaction that he has with a loving family.. and with the Lord.

      Hi Chris,
      Yes, he moved out in May, and things seems to have just gotten worse, he barely ever calls me or th kids and he will now go weeks without seeing them, and this has never occured before. I refuse to have any “relations” with him, and it drives me insane not knowing what he’s doing while hes not living here, but i know cutting that was for the best. I feel like he knows what hes doing is wrong but he just keeps doing it anyway. its sad. I know how God is mighty, and can do ANYTHING, its just when will he do it is the main question. I love my husband and I will continue to stay faithful to God’s word because I know what he’s promise me and I have dreams often about randy coming over inthe middleof the night crying saying he wants to come home, God is given me a vision to hold on to of his promise. I still feel discourage because the situaion is back tracking and I havent seen improvement in the months we’ve been apart

    Sounds like you’ve done what you can to try to make this relationship work. Unfortunately, it’s a two-way street. Continue praying and trusting.

    Hi Jennifer,

    I know our fears and worries can make the situation worse. Hopefully, these verses will help ease the pain some. I find when I memorize them or write them down I can grab them when I’m feeling sad. Blessings.

    Psalm 34:4 I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.

    1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him becaue he cares for you.

    Hebrews 13:4 Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer….

    Thank you, this time has been so hard for me and my kids. We miss him everydayand I really hope god can touch him, soften his heart, and help him come back to his family

    Jennifer,
    It breaks my heart to see the number of marriages that fail. I also know how you feel, I have been cheated on many times by my ex-wife. I stayed by her side the whole time and just prayed for the best. My marriage didn’t work out but, here is something that God taught me.

    Did you and your husband have a good relationship with God? Many times when a marriage gets bumpy the wife and husband work it out together. Many don’t consult God or even give thanks to God for a good marriage. Long Lasting marriages have to include God. Think of two ropes (wife and husband), when adding a third rope(God), just think how much stronger it makes the two ropes. Christ can help us (during temptation), for he too has faced temptation-Hebrews 4:15-16. Temptation comes from Satan -Genesis 3:1-6. God never tempts people to sin -James 1:13-15.

    Pray and then when the time is right, sit down with your husband and tell him how you feel. Also ask him how he feels about you, the children, and your marriage. This will give you the best picture for your future. Don’t do this without praying and asking God for guidance. I will pray for you, your kids, and your husband that God will touch the situation for a good outcome.

    Thank you so much. I definitely pray for him, not one day goes by that I don’t intercede for our marriage and for him. I love my husband despite his cheating. I just pray he changes, he softens his heart, allows god to speak to him and follow his word, and comes home
